The original footage was shot in1992 under the title "Una notte di terrore" as an intended pilot for an unproduced TV series. Producer Salvatore Carrara later sold the footage. The new owners called Gianni Siragusa to shoot additional scenes. The film was released abroad as a feature film under the new title "Anxiety". It was never released in Italy.
