The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Do not forget that Friendship.

This movie explores and expose something that most in the Chinese community rather not face: the issue of Chinese being the people who can band together to overcome great difficulties, but can not enjoy the success together.

The movie used the fake plot of two families forged friendship during the hardship of war era, but the friendship was gone after the war, but in reality, the hidden theme behind the story is criticizing something that was very common in China today:
