The story happens in 70s' Hong Kong.  People's values of course  have changed a lot, and thus, although some pop idols are starred, the target market may not be those audiences in their teen. The description to characters' emotion is the part most excellent, but their stories seems to be interwoven together in a way not systematic enough, and some of the idols seem also a bit overacted. However Anthony Wong gives wonderful performance, and perhaps the scene in which he talks to his son on beach would one day become a "classic". Also praise-worthy is the beautiful cinematography and set design. Without them, the "first half" of this movie would be very boring. Qi Shu looks always glamorous, and no doubt her smile makes the last shot of the movie very impressive. Worth seeing.
