However, such emphasis goes to extreme in that traditional Confucian teaching advocating the sacrifice of personal liberty and happiness in order to keep the harmony of the family, and one of the result is that you don't fall in love with somebody that your sibling had dumped, because this would be awkward for the family relationships.
