The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Revenge across the border of the two world.

Non-Chinese audience needs to know a little bit about the traditional Chinese culture in order to understand the original Chinese title: The word Ying-Yang represents the any two opposite sides, such as fire and water, male and female, and in this case, it represents two worlds, the world of the living and the world of the dead.
