The Qing Dynasty was overthrown, ending the two thousand year feudalism in China.  The first country in the world to develop  into slavery society from primitive society, and consequently, the first country in the world to develop into feudal society from slavery society was finally a republic. However, the opium trade was booming, not due to the pressure of foreign power, but thanks to the domestic Chinese warlords and corrupted government.
