Almost 35 years after Jeena Marna Tere Sang released, these songs remain fresh in the memory.

Repeat uploads on YouTube, in HD, 4K what not, by fans who love listening to them again and again has ensured a timeless quality to the film's music.

More importantly, the songs are well picturised. This the first released film of Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon. Boy, they have some chemistry.

This is by far my most favorite pair in Bollywood, even though they never got to do a landmark movie together.

While Aatish and Zamane Se Kya Darna, in the same order, happen to be my two favorites among the movies featuring Dutt and Raveena, Jeena Marna Tere Sang had the best music.

The movie was strictly average, and it was average at the box office as well.

Dutt was at his absolute peak between 1990 and 1994, and the only films of his that flopped during the period were late releases like Qurbaani Rang Layegi, Sahebzaade and Insaaf Apne Lahoo Se.

Most other movies made money, like Fateh, Khatarnaak, Tejaa, and even non-actioners like Jeena Marna Tere Sang and Zamane Se Kya Darna.

All said, I will always remember this movie with fondness, because it is one those rare films to feature a perfectly matched onscreen pairing.

How I wish Dutt and Raveena did more films together. How I wish Dus had released. How I wish Choodiyan had got made. Alas!
