Xunan - Mutter der Lakandonen

Two years in the making, it was filmed in Mexico in 1980 and1982, with a year's pause in between. Original directer Margrit Keller could not finish the film, so cinematographer Peter von Gunten was called on to finish the project. Their approaches were very different, and the resulting film consists of two parts with two different focuses.
