'Dope Case Pending' (2000)

Directed by: Patrick McKnight, and co-directed by Jeffrey Williams.

Cast: Devon King, Coolio, Kid Frost, Danielle Sagona, Thinline, Tony Dorian, Sean Levert.

On a quest to find every movie from the year 1999, and then the year 2000, I stumbled across this title & managed to track down a copy via Amazon. The DVD (this is 2025 now, mind you) arrived via Prime in the most smashed & destroyed case ever, but was somehow still together. This is no fault of Amazon, mind you, but DigiView Entertainment who are notorious for this. Anyhow, the artwork & disc were salvaged.

As for the movie itself, this is really just an A for effort sort of deal here. This movie is bad. Acting is mediocre, sound & camerawork are actually fairly decent all things considered, soundtrack not bad, but the directing & writing is in the toilet. What was this movie even about? I couldn't tell you. I'm not surprised to find that there is no plot outline on IMDb as this movie didn't seem to have one. Coolio was in this? I missed it. The best thing this movie did, was it made me want to watch 'New Jersey Drive'. Tossing this one on the shelf. Three out of 10 is about one star more than it deserves, but like I said A for effort.
