A company director is a real go-getter :he wants it all and he wants it his way ; he rules his team with an iron hand and he often humiliates them.

One day,he discovers that someone who looks like him makes decisions , gives phone rings , has sex with a woman ,goes to restaurants,and he does not remember all these facts ; is it split personality? Is it amnesia? Or is he framed?

Bearing more than a distant resemblance to Basil Dearden's "the man who haunted himself" (1970,Roger Moore 's favorite film of his),this MTV film lacks a firm directing (the second part is muddled ,and dullness sets in when one learns the explanation half an hour before the end )The cast is mediocre ,particularly Jean Sorel , unable to play two different characters ,and who could believe Sylvie Fennec is an astrophysist?

While Dearden 's film denouement verged on supernatural and was thus impressive, "le cercle fermé "(closed circle) opts for an outright reactionary moral.
