Eternal ring is that kind of game that only from software could make, where there are lots of great ideas, and execution works half of the time.

One thing it does amazingly is the music, it's going in full forced to make it feel like an adventure, and from the first second you get off the boat, it going the distance.

The gameplay is so weird, because the combat is fun when you get the hang of it even, if the controls are screaming for an analogue stick. The magic system is interesting but completely unbalanced, but you're not gonna know that, if you're not using a tutorial to make overpowered one.

But the game Peaks way too early, because the moment that magic becomes a viable way of doing damage, it becomes so repetitive just throwing spells and healing tanke, compared to the exciting combat that were in the beginning of the game.

It's also short and sweet and the story is entertaining to see. It's just that kind of game that feels like from software where testing the PS2, to see what they could get away with, and the experiment was interesting, even if very uneven an experience when it comes to fun, but love the music.
