A beautiful, even wonderful film from what we might consider the golden age of Turkish cinema. The film's cast is excellent, comprised of master actors, and each one truly delivers. When we consider the story from that era, it depicts the struggle between the rich and the poor. It tells the story of the consequences of a vain and pampered young man's mistake, and the consequences of trying to cover up his mistake with another mistake instead of correcting it. While the film claims that the rich are ruthless, this flaw is negligible if we consider it throughout the film.

Turkish cinema reflects the country's position between East and West, combining melodrama, political allegory, and contemplative realism. It often explores identity, memory, and the tension between tradition and modernity. The Yeşilçam era was prolific, while modern auteurs have gained festival prominence.
