Tiresome in the extreme, "Big Hair Romp" presents the sort of all-sex (I guess gonzo is the current terminology) format that has captured adult entertainment in recent decades. Something Weird reissued this time-killer on Vol. 51 of its Dragon Art Theatre series. Title may be invented, with no title card displayed on screen.

Three gals invite two guys over to have sex, and later on a swishy photographer joins the party, but the girls force him to participate in strictly heterosexual acts. A couple of lines of exposition is dubbed over as extraneous narration, but there's no content here except XXX sex footage.

Boredom factor is so great that I would classify this as a chaser, guaranteed to induce many of the wide-awake patrons at the Dragon Art or any other adult theater screening it to head for the exit. Two girls giving a well-hung guy a blow job, which is mainly licking his penis over & over, lasts over 20 minutes and their scene with him ultimately takes up 35 minutes of running time. Since most of the film is shot in real-time, continuous take fashion, it is indistinguishable from what passes for video porn over 30 years later.

Casting of attractive women, like Starlyn Simone and Andy Bellamy, gives the movie some initial interest, before the viewer is worn down. Final scene of the girls bringing some drinks and a cast of six seemingly poised for an orgy as denouement instead ends abruptly, as do so many of these well-worn Dragon Art surviving prints.

Musical score is atrocious, starting off with some pretentious orchestral jazz (not quite Gunther Schuller or Third Stream, but bad, bad, bad), and then segueing to annoying Muzak versions of such disparate circa 1962/1963 hits as "Yesterday's Gone", "Sukiyaki" (!), "Love Letters", "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", plus "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Good Day Sunshine", "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da", "All My Loving" (enough with the Fab Four already!) and for contrast the blues standard introduced by Joe Williams: "Alright, Okay, You Win".
