Peculiar softporn, strictly for the jaded

It's tough to decide what's up with this porn film. Is it an insult, or just strange on purpose. A splicey, incomplete version has been resurrected by After Hours Cinema, as part of a five on one disc DVD.

A marriage that's on the rocks is hoped to be saved by a neighbor's suggestion: attend the School of Love at $100 a day to pep up your sex life. A granny type lady runs the school (I'm exaggerating only a bit) and when the couple signs up, granny gives the hubby a personal demonstration of what to expect. I wasn't expecting this visual onslaught, but the little old lady with an out-of-shape body goes full frontal and simulates sex with our hapless hero. 

Back in the day there was the popular AUNT PEG series of porn films, but the wonderful Juliet Anderson was only 40 years old when she did those. Similarly the unbeatable Kay Parker was just 36 or so when she performed her spectacular mother roles in TABOO and so many others. Granny here gives us real life geriatric sex, looking to be in her 60s. She even participates in a standing up, double penetration (!) scene, but of course it's just simulated.

Various other demos occur, including bondage and whipping, all evidence that the makers of this film were aiming at the kinky edge of the porn market. Our heroine Mrs. Dennis is even joined by her helpful neighbor for a threesome along the way. Granny is immensely pleased when the Dennis couple graduates, and even treats us to her philosophy of life (I'll spare you).

Writing credit goes to "Woodrow Olivetti" which sounds suspiciously like one of the pseudonyms Ed Wood used in penning stroke books back in the '60s, but there's no evidence that this film was scripted by him.

It's competently made porn, and the spliciness of the print helped to speed up the pacing -probably an improvement on the full-length version. Now if they would just do something with the 3 and 4-hour extravaganzas that laughingly constitute porn videos cranked out today...
