Grass Roots

The Arcadia Waters council chambers building is actually the old Concord Council building in Sydney, NSW. Concord Council had been amalgamated with Drummoyne and other nearby councils to form the Canada Bay Council, leaving the former Concord Council Chambers empty, and a great set for the show. The Chambers have subsequently been demolished and replaced with the Concord Library. Many of the street scenes when they sit on the footpath at outdoor dining areas are also shot in Coincord.
