      Monsieur Sinfray or Monsieur de St. Frais, was a French artillery officer in the Battle of Plassey (1757) who fought gallantly for Siraj Ud Daulah, the last Nawab of Bengal. Sinfray commanded a small French contingent at Plassey. When the battle was lost he took refuge in Birbhum, was arrested by the Raja, and handed over to the English. Modi Cohen acted in the role of Sinfray in this film.
