One of the first terrorist attack on a flight took place in 1987 a year before the Olympic Games was held in Seoul. The attack was a brutal message from the their neighbors North Korea. The attack was made by two people who acted out as a Japanese couple. But when they got arrested they attempted suicide, only one survived and she revealed a horrible information of the norths crazy plans.

The movie Mayumi is featured film based on that story with a few changes just for the movie.

For example the scenes with truckers who travel from Spain to Iraq are just there as a comic relief until one relies they are passengers soon the bombed flight.

As for the two terrorist in movie their are portrayed as mother daughter and not couple.

And icing on the cake is the movie is directed by shin sang ok who was kidnap to north to make movies for propaganda.

It's a sad story and the movie is well done despite the low budget, the music is great choice and feel exiting, and The actors are all great and it's fun to see George Kennedy in a role too. A well watch movie. So great it cracked my wifi because I watched it too many times on just one day.
