          Asha Parekh's debut film as heroine. She had been a child actress in previous films. She also fell in love with the film's director Nasir Hussain, who made her a star with this film. Their romance lasted decades, but it didn't culminate into marriage, since he was already married to assistant choreographer Ayesha Khan. In her 2017 memoir "The Hit Girl", Asha wrote that although Nasir was the one and only true love of her life, the romance had to end, because she didn't want to be the other woman.
