Kudos to Curtis Harrington, who stars in this short film about a very young man, wearing eyeglasses and a coat buttoned to his chin, seeking, it seems, an entrance to a world for which there is no entrance for him. He espies a blonde-haired young woman, who he doggedly pursues, but is horrified by what he finds and flees in terror. Harrington's visual imagination and astute use of locations presaged his 1961 masterpiece, "Night Tide."
