A 1967 West German feature film concerning the lives of several young adults. Opening with a shot of a Bruegel painting director George Moorse's film plunges us into a chaotic, comic strip world of exuberant visuals, musical numbers, manic behaviour, and characters saying things like "I don't know where i'm going". We the audience may get the impression that this also applies to the writers Moorse and Klaus Lea, with the 'plot' sometimes seeming like a rambling free-form train of thought (almost like someone had taken something before they made this). Featuring Ardy Struwer, Rolf Zacher, Francesca Oehme and Dunja Rajter this was seemingly designed as a mad, experimental 60s style comedy about wealthy young 'layabouts' (with 'highlights' including a garden gnome massacre), but may be seen by some as a tiresome cinematic atrocity, which perhaps suitably ends in a hot air balloon. Good location shooting though in Munich.
