I'm a big fan of the films of Kuchar. he uses colors and fantasies to show us the reality we miss in the real world: the meaning of sex, for example, or how animals illustrate what's the good thing to do. some strange stories imply we are all homosexuals. I don't like this thought, I 'd prefer to say we are all different and alike united. but that's obvious not how Kuchar sees the world: his films are filled with references to homosexuality. 'Corruption of the Damned' hasn't got new material, but interesting insights. the title alone tells us this movie is about homosexuality, if you see homosexuality as a sin. hence, corruption and damnation. we see women doing bad things with men on cemeteries, beaches filled with skulls instead of sand and many other places. this movie begins with an ugly sound, maybe it tells us we're dirty people if we watch this one, or perhaps it's just there by coincidence, I don't know. what I do know is Kuchar portrayed man as bad as women: searching trash, doing their best not to eat so much (in fact, this is implied: we only see a man with a wig weighing himself as a woman) and being lazy. this wasn't my favorite Kuchar movie, but I think I understand what he was trying to say with it: corrupt or damned, man stays man, and it doesn't matter if you like it or not, homosexuals are here to stay.
