I'll be honest, I was only 9 or 10 years old when this show was on but I remember it. The main thing I remember is that it seemed to be a sweet-natured show, very calming for an anxious young kid. I know it was focused on people 50-60 years older than me but I remember thinking it was very chill and even-tempered. Well, maybe I didn't think of it being "chill" when I was a kid but you know what I mean.

The main thing I remember is that Hugh Downs had a very calm, reassuring nature. I guess, thinking of him later on "20/20", that was kind of his thing. He was one of those old-school guys who exuded quiet assurance.
