Wish You Were There

This is the original 78-minute director's cut of Wham! in China: Foreign Skies (1986). Filmmaker Lindsay Anderson completed the editing in October 1985, but singer-producer George Michael felt the result was more documentary than concert film. Anderson was fired and the film recut and retitled. The original version has never been released in any media due to being blocked by Michael and his estate. The British Film Institute was finally allowed to present two public screenings of Anderson's cut at the BFI Southbank in London, on May 25 and May 31, 2024.
