    • Trivia
This version of the game, by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), is completely different from Aladdin (1993) which was made by Virgin and Walt Disney Feature Animation for Sega. Due to the intense console war between Sega and Nintendo at the time, the Virgin version was only available on the Sega Mega Drive and then ported to several other non-Nintendo game systems, prompting Nintendo to order their own version. Unlike the Virgin title, the Capcom game did not involve Disney animators and is a typical "jump and bump" game, but it was an early project by Shinji Mikami, who would go on to do the highly acclaimed Resident Evil game series.
