Two unemployed friends meet an eccentric archaeologist, who enlists their help to steal a rare clay statuette from his biggest competitor. Instead, they fall in love with his daughters. Will the girls stay with them after 5,000 lies?

Kostas and Vasilis, perpetually unemployed best friends and roommates, are already three months behind in the rent. But the penniless law students are just unlucky; the boys have spent months job-hunting in the bustling streets of Athens. Then, after numerous disappointments, they cross paths with Aristides, an eccentric archaeologist and avid collector of antiquities, who needs someone brave enough to run a little errand for him. And just like that, the mysterious encounter leads them into a life full of suspense. After all, this is breaking and entering we are talking about; Kostas and Vasilis must "borrow" a rare clay statuette from the lavish mansion of Patroklos, Aristides' biggest competitor. Instead, the bumbling thieves fall in love with Patroklos' beautiful daughters, Efi and Dora. Now, letting the cat out of the bag would ruin everything. Still, the question remains: Will the girls stay with them after 5,000 lies?
