It takes forever for YOUNG AND RESTLESS (sounds like a soap) to establish its premise: the switch that women want to go to a resort-style brothel where men will attend to their every sexual need. Veteran pornographer Ed DePriest beats around the bush, and I mean that literally, way too long.

Video is bookended by a masturbation routine by beautiful lead Kim Carson, and the brief scene is even shown a third time midway through the proceedings. Early reels are needlessly cryptic as she visits Linda Shaw and they watch various people have sex in a gym and at the adjoining pool. Kim gets hot and almost masturbates but doesn't join in on the action, and it is only later that Ed reveals she was test-visiting a brothel for ladies.

Her hubby, an unlikely choice in Buttman John Stagliano, is a boring dolt, so it's obvious why she's straying, but he does get to hump Kim anyway. Perhaps Kim's lack of a Kim Kardashian size posterior is why JS is so bored.

Maria Tortuga livens things up and has a hot lesbian scene in which mannishly dressed Shaw does her with a large strap-on dildo. 

I kept waiting in vain for even a modest plot line to unfold, but it's just American porn's answer to the dullness that was Britain's Kitchen Sink cinema of about 5 decades ago - a slice of phony West Coast sex-is-all life. Proof of this is the presence of iconic Paul Thomas as a masseur who gives the gals something extra but does not even get a character name. The extremely obscure Crystal Lovin' is Paul's massage subject and gets a d.p. courtesy of P.T. and the inevitable Marc Wallice.
