It's formula may be cornball but PRESCRIPTION FOR PASSION is an arousing porn video starring Burt Reynolds-lookalike Sasha Gabor. It's been reissued recently on DVD by Alpha Blue Archives in a welcome tribute to forgotten starlet Heather Thomas.

Heather's career actually came later than her famous namesake, the Heather Thomas who starred in the hit "Fall Guy" TV series, and she never landed a leading role in an adult video or film. But she's looking good and performing arousingly in PRESCRIPTION as one of Dr. A. Long's patients. Even here, she gets no dialog, with a convoluted explanation that she canceled her appointment so we only get to see her in a fantasy, not confessing all to the shrink like the other femme cast members.

Gimmick is that Gabor as the doc hypnotizes each patient and has her recite her fantasies in unexpurgated form, which we see visualized on screen (as the patient masturbates on his couch). It's not a hygienic video but a stimulating one.

Summer Rose is the most alluring of the principals, delivering an actual acting performance that made me wonder why this talented porn star never merited a mainstream crossover acting role. Looking through her credits now I got a yock out of one of those bad-pun titles porn is so famous for, WETNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION. Now there's a lost video worth searching for.

Fan favorite Kristara Barrington, here billed early in her career as "Sue Lee", portrays Gabor's secretary, but he puts her on the couch anyway, cueing a torrid threesome.

It's a low-budget video, not attempting to break out and look "real" with the use of any exteriors or other budget-busters, but thanks to Heather and crew delivers the masturbation goods.
