Claude Martin, a renowned author ,is struggling to finish the play he promised his friend François, a theater director. Claude claims he's "too happily married" to write. To help him rediscover his inspiration, François decides to take him on vacation to the French Riviera, hoping the change of scenery and unexpected adventures will reignite his creative spark..

It was director Hunebelle's debut and , in 1978, he remade it ,thus making it his final work as "ça fait tilt" (it shows tilt).

This is a heavy-handed comedy ,and one feels sorry for Jean Tissier and Gaby Sylvia .

The begining of the movie is the only good moment: a woman wakes up her husband who moans "I've got 57min left";up comes the writer who complains because his actors butcher his "work" ;the male thespian says " what?"instead of "yes" ;Then surprise surprise....... You can leave afterwards.

The playwright is victim of the writer's block ,because he is too happy ;so the director took him to the French riviera ;he thinks that if he becomes unhappy, inspiration will come back. A free-for-all ends this ponderous farce.
