Creative touch having the credits scrawled on the cell walls of this fetid little WIP flick in which we find a new warden being introduced to hardened prisoners who reveal their backstories to the audience via flashbacks, but the submissive bureaucrat proves no match for the dominant head mistress and her punishing methods of discipline maintenance.

After witnessing an uncomfortable looking self-service with a barbie doll by one of the captives, a flashback reminds the audience why Al Levitsky (aka Roger Caine) was one of the most dependably evil villains of so many sleaze-fests throughout the mid to late 70s, delivering a masterclass of method acting in an especially nasty scene that would make Jess Franco proud.

Decent plot-driven WIP tale incorporates some vile and degrading depictions of abuse (a couple of which go beyond the pale in my opinion), a daring gaol break, some wet 'n wild revenge and a bleak conclusion making it slightly sleazier than the average WIP pulp, even grubbier than Franco permitted in his portrayals of barbarity behind bars.
