Hot Times plus hardcore equals hodgepodge

Difficult to rate what is essentially another movie 'Hot Times' (1974) which has four hardcore scenes awkwardly shoehorned into the plot as fantasies of the protagonist whose pent-up sexual desire to consummate with his girlfriend have reached their zenith approaching New Year's Eve where he hopes to break the drought.

Marc Stevens, Annie Sprinkle and co form the basis of the unrelated footage, tonally and photographically mismatched with the rest of the film which is otherwise a nostalgic teen hormones comedy, sort of an adult interpretation of Archie comics antics.

The original film seems enjoyable, funny and whimsical, whereas this weird agglomeration is a hack job of Frankenstein proportions. The final nail in the coffin happens when the end credits roll, which belong to an unrelated British film entitled 'Permissive' (1970). Mislabelled and misled, buyer beware.
