Ben Gets a Duck and Is Ducked

During the filming of the scene where Ben Turpin tries to steal the duck from the fountain, a real police officer happened to come by, saw what was going on and, not believing Turpin's story about his only pretending to steal the duck because they were filming a movie, actually arrested Turpin (the arrest was left in the picture). Turpin spent several hours in jail before the producers convinced the police that they were, in reality, only making a movie.
