"Plot? What plot?" - But somehow it still works.

Made in Germany is one of those films where you can practically feel the script giving up about ten minutes in - and honestly, everyone involved seems perfectly fine with that.

The setup is actually kind of promising in a ridiculous, late-night cable sort of way: a bitter guy gets screwed by a will, his naïve sister (Tracey Adams) is suddenly the center of attention, and a stern German tutor (Angela Baron) arrives to whip everyone into shape. You think you're in for some kind of naughty satire about discipline, inheritance, and family dysfunction.

And then... the movie just wanders off and does its own thing.

Scenes don't so much follow each other as happen near each other. Characters disappear, reappear, and occasionally seem to forget what movie they're in. There's a contractor subplot with Joey Silvera that feels like it wandered in from a completely different script - and yet, weirdly, it ends up being one of the more memorable parts of the film because it actually takes its time.

Angela Baron, on the other hand, clearly understood the assignment - even if the movie didn't. She leans hard into the stern, domineering European authority figure and gives the whole thing a pulse whenever she's on screen. It's half parody, half power trip, and easily the closest the film gets to having a consistent tone.

Tracey Adams starts off playing the "innocent" angle, but let's be honest - that doesn't last long. When she spreads her legs for Joey Silvera, these two are turning on the heat (as they always did), winning them an AVN Award for "Best Shot-on-Video Sex Scene". What does stand out is that her scenes feel a bit more deliberate than the rest, especially compared to the more chaotic, "who are these people again?" moments involving the rest of the cast.

And then there's Mike Horner, who spends most of the film looking like he's been personally wronged by the screenplay. Which, to be fair, he has, despite his F-scene with Angela Baron opening her thighs for him is standing out in this flick.

Technically, this is pure shot-on-video territory: flat lighting, minimal style, and editing that occasionally feels like it was done with a shrug. But there's also a strange charm to that. It's raw, it's messy, and it's very, very of its time.

The biggest issue is the pacing - not because it's slow, but because it's all over the place. One minute you get a scene that actually builds some tension, the next minute you're watching something that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. It's like flipping channels, except you never actually leave the same movie.

Still... here's the thing: if you go in expecting a coherent story, you'll be frustrated. If you go in expecting a chaotic showcase of late-80s adult video energy, you might actually have a good time.

Final verdict: Messy, disjointed, occasionally nonsensical - but saved by a committed cast and a few surprisingly effective scenes. Not a "good" movie in the traditional sense, but definitely a memorable one if you're into this era.

Rating: Five Rolls Royce (out of ten possible), including bonus points for sheer unpredictability.
