What a Carry On! Is a comedy that does its job well. It has enough humour and timing to keep things moving, and it delivers the kind of experience I wanted from it. The pacing and tone mostly hold together, and the stronger moments carry the weaker ones. Comedy is always a matter of taste, and here the humour landed often enough for me. Seven stars. Strong enough to recommend with some reservations.
