The title goes back to an Ukrainian legend about the flower 'Chervona Ruta'. It is believed that the Ruta, a yellow flower, turns red or scarlet (chervona) for a couple of minutes in the night of 'Ivan Kupala Day'. If a girl picks up such a red flower, she is meant to find love and luck.
