      Eskay Harris Films produced this film in an attempt to capitalize on Vitagraph's planned production of Black Beauty (1921), based on the Anna Sewell novel. They re-edited the existing film Your Obedient Servant (1917) with added footage and released it under the same title "Black Beauty". Vitagraph complained to the Federal Trade Commission, but not in time.
