I saw this movie in my Hebrew class as a pre-Chanukah treat.  The movie brings to life the people of Israel and makes a non-Israeli understand the everyday conflicts.  An excellent example is when the Arab waves a gun around to steal lettuce for a rabbit, but no police are called and the gas station attendants merely remark that it is a "crazy country."  The ending of the movie is a shock but helps solidify the reality that exists in Israel.  And, of course, for a Jewish Hebrew student, the culture aspect of the movie was very important.  I would definitley recommend it.
