Adventures of smugglers on the Franco-Belgian border, focused on three groups: Pierre Lesquin, his wife, and little Luisette; Monsieur Lucien and Madame Estelle, major traffickers; and Inspector Rovercq and his daughter Suzon. There's also a dog and a young man, Momo. Friction, violence, and love both blur and unite this world.

Not only Jean Gourguet directed this mess, but he also ,as often,wrote the screenplay .This is a muddled affair, but in which law and morality will ultimately prevail. The children and the dog steal the show ,as though there were something to steal ;the police are incredibly naive: when they stop the car they suspect ,they do not even look into the children's pockets;why did Suzy Prim ,the only good thespian in the movie ,get involved in that business?
