This is a standard Foofle plot, for want of a better word, and the long-suffering and silent clown has everything happen to him. It's quite amusing on its own terms, but since there's nothing in this cartoon that could not be done with live action -- say as a skit on the Red Skelton show -- it makes me conclude that the talent was in the wrong business.
