Jim Holliday, inexplicably a "legend" in porn history (not), epitomizes the stereotype of porn as stupid and silly, as his movies are intentionally so. I never ever believed in his concept of erotica, and watching his forgotten clunkers only amplifies my original assessment from way back when.

Most of his work deals with trivial stereotypes: a movie about nurses, cheerleaders, stewardesses or in this case waitresses. We have six attractive porn actresses (Debi Diamond being the most impressive) having sex with customers for an hour and a half, punctuated by very unfunny cameos by Ron Jeremy as a bum and Holliday as the cook. The movie's story goes nowhere in a hurry.

For Holliday and his many acolytes (like John Waters, he has had an outsized influence on poor taste), only the sex footage matters in Adult Cinema. Acting and story are there only to be ridiculed. For his own work, that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
