Sultry, seductive Joan Devlon plays a teenager named Angel who's coming of age and keen to seal the deal but boyfriend Jimmy's apparently got cold feet, preferring to work on his batting average which pushes young Angel into the arms of a stranger and eventually harm's way.

The opening title sequence is elaborate, the wistful classical guitar strumming and sentimental ballad signalling Angel's longing desire for sexual embrace before she devours her dream man (Ric Lutze) which sets the stage for the sordid teenage escapades which will soon follow.

A solid cast features Sharon Thorpe and David Brook as a pair of cretins who tarnish the young ingenue, and Susan Catherine wearing far too much eye makeup plays her school friend who gets herself up the duff and shipped off to boarding school (the character is inconsequential but her relocation is integral to the story's third act).

The plot, location cinematography and soundtrack are all decent and if it wasn't for the amateurishly stilted performances (apparently intentional so as to contrast innocence from cynicism), this might've been quite a meaningful drama. Seems sincere and although it doesn't quite work perhaps as intended, overall it's not too bad and the obvious effort is appreciated.
