Having gone through its own 'Prohibition' era ('19-'32), alcoholic drink sales were quite strictly regulated by a State alcohol monopoly: because the lead actress (Regina Linnanheimo) played, and wrote for herself, too, the role of drink leading her into the perils of drink depravity so well, the film got tax exempted as was deemed beneficial to the monopoly's purposes for the good (health) of the nation.
