Styled as a whodunit, "Casing the Crack" (duh, a play on words for the cliche -"cracking the case") is typical crap directed by Ron Jeremy. It's a shaggy-dog story, so amateurish that one feels an apology from Mr. Hyatt is in order.

The version I watched has a small saving grace: it was reissued in 1991, three years after initial release, with the opening sex scene a 10-minute hump by Blake West of Viviana added to the original movie. THe two of them spend a few seconds chatting about the murder case and then have sex on the couch. In 1991 Viviana was the hottest new star in porn, and a favorite of mine, so she was added to existing videos like this one as a new selling point.

Actual opening of the show has Ron Jeremy's character lying face down dead in a swimming pool, narrating the story of his murder. It's a dumb homage to Billy Wilder's "Sunset Blvd.".

But there is no story, just disconnected sex scenes with poor acting, worse dialogue and utter pointlessness. Lead actress, Euro beauty Sabrian Jurgens cast as Ron's sister, has a continual smile and looks embarrassed, though of course her sexual performing is fine. Superstar Danielle looks awful and has to suffer through a sex scene with Ron Jeremy. Even a pro like Randy West looks lost, seemingly wondering how his agent ever got him involved in this project.
