Lydia Potechina warns husband Hermann Picha that this is the last stag party he's going to go to, so he and his buddies plan to make quite a night of it. He celebrates by bonking his head against a column, knocking himself out, and getting his engraved cigarette case stolen. When this is used to identify the thief, she and daughter Maria Paudler are distraught. Meanwhile, Picha hides out in the bad part of town.

There are also a couple of subplots, like medical student Walter Rilla trying to court fraulein Paudlier, and Rilla's superior, Jaro Furth, getting involved with hot schoolteacher Truus van Aalten. But it's mostly a comedy of errors and watching the popular Picha make faces. It's a pleasant comedy for his fans, and it's easy to understand why he was so popular.
