Rough but rewarding adult hostage thriller

One of, if not the best roughies out there with Roger Caine and Eric Edwards the Cain & Abel of sex villains, two ex-cons who go on a robbery and murder spree on their way to sunny Florida where they plan to 'chill out'.

Caine is the more uptight of the duo, a real sicko without a moral compass, Edwards more morally upright but still able to take his pound of flesh when required, indebted to Caine's character for guaranteeing his safety inside.

Bree Anthony is very good in a physically demanding role as their unfortunate victim, and Terri Hall is a standout as a savvy but sincere call girl who encounters the pair when they visit the bar in which (not 'for which' distinction noted) she works.

There's a lot more plot, characterisation, camera angles and sensible dialogue than is typical for the genre, and the ending is an absolute cracker although there's one plot thread which remains unaddressed concerning the victim's boyfriend. Casual fan or devotee of these so-called 'roughies' (e.g. 'Forced Entry 1 & 2', 'Hardgore' etc) there's an awful lot of garbage out there so it pays to be selective and imo this is the one to watch.
