Well that was bleak and made by someone who obviously doesn't like pornography. There is some very dark humour but it's full of characters who are thoroughly unlikeable, especially the men who are purposefully written as selfish, sad and idiotic. Of course that's the whole point of this film so anyone that watches 'American Babylon' looking for titillation is going to be very disappointed, because the hardcore scenes in the film are not meant to be erotic. It's more of a biting satire on real life.
