      Asked by director Frank Coraci to polish the script, Carrie Fisher spent six months on it, making it her special mission to add "heart and strength and dimension" to the Drew Barrymore character, Julia.       (at around 12 mins) Frank and Rosie are supposed to be celebrating their 50th anniversary. However, the picture on the wall of their wedding is dated 1948, which is attuned to the film's release date in 1998. The film is set sometime in the 1980s.
