Great documentary on the creation of the Blues genres by African Americans and their migration from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago. Music is just way more than the charts; it's history, it tells the stories of the people who could not talk! I learned some things I never fully understood, like the placed importance of the church in music for African Americans, and I was always a bit confused about the importance of Chicago in African American history, but this doc explained it well. I spent some time listening to Blue artists and researching them. Pretty much all of them moved to Chicago around the same time, and almost all started as sharecroppers at a young age.
