It's raining and Lotta can't go out because she has a cold. Siblings Mia and Jonas promise to buy candy for her. But Lotta doesn't always do as she's told.

Lotta turns 5 and receives many nice presents. Even so, she thinks it's a lousy birthday.

Lotta is going on an excursion with Mia, Jonas, mother and father. Mom is tired and intends to rest all day. Dad will look after the children.

Lotta will go to the country and visit grandma and grandpa. The train journey turns out to be considerably more difficult than Lotta's mother had imagined.
