The distributor added the words "Next Penetration," which caused confusion, suggesting that this was a parody of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) rather than what it was, a bust on the original Star Trek (1966) series. "ST:TNG" would eventually be lampooned by the distributor in "Sex Trek 4" and "Sex Trek 5".
