My review was written in March 1990 after watching the program on HBO Video cassette.

A good balance between archive footage and new material boosts Playboy's "Playmates at Play" video, a voyeur-pleasing exercise aimed at the sell-through market.

Fast-paced program is built around models from Playboy magazine involved in sports and other leisure time activities.

The tape's gimmick is to introduce such physical activity in each segment as an excuse to thn head indoors for the usual languorous, striptease material.

Well-photographe tape reprises older footage, including Roberta Vasquez memorably exercising with weights and Kelly Tough backpacking in the woods.

New segments range from white water rafting to bareback (literally) riding, with India Allen, Venice Kong and Carol Ficatie standing out in a lengthy cast roster.
